Excellence in Neuroscience Research and Education showcased at Joint ABN INA meeting 2023
The Joint Meeting of the Association of British Neurologists and the Irish Neurological Association, which took place from 9 to 12 May in Belfast, was an outstanding success.
Distinctive elements of each association were embraced and amalgamated to produce a programme of exceptional educational value, in addition to the very valuable opportunities for discussion and exploration of new studies and treatment options, by delegates.

ABN Medallist Lecture
Dr. Carolyn Gabriel, Imperial College, introduced the ABN Medallist Lecture and delivered the citation of the Speaker, Prof. Mary Reilly, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London.

Gordon Holmes Lecture
Dr. Lina Nashef, King’s College Hospital, intoduced the Gordon Holmes Lecture and delivered the citation of the Speaker, Prof. Samden Lhatoo, University of Texas, USA. Prof. Lhatoo’s lecture was entitled Mortality and SUDEP
ABN President’s Lecture
Dr. Richard Davenport, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and incoming ABN President 2023, delivered the President’s Lecture. The title of Dr. Davenport’s lecture was A Town Called Malice.
