The 61st Annual INA Meeting will take place under the presidency of Dr. Helena Moore on 15th to 16th May at The Rose Hotel, Tralee, County Kerry.

INA President 2025“On behalf of the IICN, I am delighted to announce the 61st annual meeting in Tralee. It will be held in the Rose Hotel on the 15th & 16th of May.
In keeping with previous meetings, the individual sessions will be chaired by leading people in the area who will introduce each session with a synopsis of recent developments.
Trainees are encouraged to present at the meeting and there are multiple prizes in different categories.
This year the Noel Callaghan lecture will be delivered by Dr Geraldine McGinty. The title of her talk is ‘See and be Seen: how inclusion drives performance and outcomes.’

Call for abstract submissions
Abstracts are invited from all areas of clinical neuroscience for poster or platform presentation at the meeting. Submissions must be supported by a member of the Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience.
The word count limit of abstracts is 200 words.Case Reports abstracts should be formatted under the following headings: Background, Case Description, Investigations/Results of Investigations, Discussion.
Original Research abstracts should be formatted under the following headings: Introduction/Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion.Receipt of abstracts will be notified to the presenter, who will again be contacted following selection of abstracts.

This year the Noel Callaghan lecture will be delivered by Dr Geraldine McGinty. The title of her talk is ‘See and be Seen: How inclusion drives performance and outcomes.’
Dr. Geraldine McGinty. Guest Lecturer at INA 2025 Dr. McGinty did her medical training in Ireland at the University of Galway and then came to the USA for residency at the University of Pittsburgh where she was Chief Resident. Her fellowship was in Women’s Imaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2000, she completed an MBA at Columbia University. She is an internationally recognized expert in imaging economics. In May 2018 she was elected as the Chair of the ACR’s Board of Chancellors, the first woman to hold this office. In 2014 she joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City and in 2021 she was appointed as Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. Since 2017 she has taught in the combined Weill Cornell Medicine and Cornell SC Johnson School of Business EMBAMS in Healthcare Leadership. She is a member of the board of 4D Medical (4DX) as well of her alma mater. From 2014-2021 she served as a Non-Executive Director of IDA Ireland, the national foreign direct investment agency.
Her published work has focused on payment models for imaging, most recently a bundled payment for breast cancer screening. Recently she has focused on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Medical Imaging. She has spoken at the Turing Institute and to the WHO Focus Group on AI in Healthcare on this topic and was an invited speaker at the Nvidia GTC AI Conference in 2020. In 2015 she was voted Radiology’s Most Effective Educator by the readers of Aunt Minnie, a radiology news site with more than 140,000 members. She holds inclusion as a foundational value and has been recognized for her work in advancing the careers of women including with the Jessica M and Natan Bibliowicz Award for Excellence in Mentoring Women Faculty. In 2019 she endowed a scholarship at her alma mater to support a female physician in pursuing an MBA.

This meeting will be accredited with CPD points by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland when the application has been approved.
Delegates must sign the CPD attendance sheet for each day of the meeting.

President’s Reception
Ashe Memorial Hall, Tralee Dr. Moore invites delegates to the INA meeting 2025 to attend a reception at The Ashe Memorial Hall, in the centre of Tralee at 19.00 on Wednesday 14th May, on the evening prior to the opening of the meeting.
The Thomas Ashe Memorial Hall is a multi-coloured architectural jewel in the centre of Tralee. Dedicated to Kerry-born Thomas Ashe (1885–1917), it is now the home of the Kerry County Museum. Its conservation and heritage-led regeneration is ongoing.
The Ashe Memorial Hall is located 1km away or a 15 minute walk through the park from The Rose Hotel. The Kerry County Museum is housed in the same building. See a map here

The INA Dinner will take place at 19.00 in The Dining Room at The Rose Hotel.
