Registrar’s Prize in Clinical Neuroscience Meeting 2024 Report

The IICN’s Registrar’s Prize in Clinical Neuroscience, under the direction of Prof. Simon Cronin, took place on 22nd November,at the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan Road, Dublin. The Meeting is an established highlight of the autumn neuroscience meeting calendar and was attended by consultants and registrars from neuroscience centres across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Prize winners
The judges of both categories at the meeting were unanimous in their view that the standard of presentation was exceptionally high. There was much debate and consideration of each of the studies at the meeting.

Interesting Case Report category

The award for best Interesting Case Report presentation was made to Dr. Alex Dudley for his presentation “An Adult onset Genetic Haematological Disease – CLIPPERS as the Clue”.

Joint second place was awarded to Dr. Julian Larkin for his presentation “Painful Todd’s: post-ictal painful hemiparesis as an identifier of insular epilepsy”.
and to Dr. Eoghan Donlon for his presentation “Clinical outcomes and local field potential characteristics in bilateral GPi DBS in 2 cases of X-Linked dystonia parkinsonism”.

Original Research category
