Profile of Prof. Orla Hardiman

Ann O’Dea, CEO and founder of Silicon Republic, recently conducted an interview with Prof. Orla Hardiman about her life as a clinician, researcher and research leader into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the most common form of MND.

Prof. Hardiman is head of neurology and professor at Trinity College Dublin, in additon to her work as a clinician. She is a researcher at the SFI research centres FutureNeuro and Adapt. She founded and leads the national ALS clinical and research programme and is the HSE national clinical lead for neurology.
