Paediatric Epilepsy Training courses for Level 2 and 3, Edinburgh from 12-13 November 2024.  Follow up PET4ward course will take place in Leeds on 7-8 November 2024.

This course has been developed to improve practice within childhood epilepsies and is delivered by means of didactic teaching sessions and small workshops.

PET2 concentrates on general aspects of the epilepsies (history taking, differential diagnosis, investigation etc.) and on epilepsies encountered in younger children. Please note, it is recommended that all those undertaking a PET2 course should have attended a PET1 course first.

PET3 focuses on epilepsies presenting in older children and adolescents and transition to adult services.  (PET2 focuses on epilepsy in infants and younger children). It is recommended that paediatric trainees and consultants attend PET2 and PET3. Please note, it is recommended that you attend PET2 before attending PET3. There is no requirement for adult neurology trainees and consultants to attend PET2, although you are very welcome.

The PET4ward course will be a bespoke course, which will follow on from PET123, for those wishing to keep up to date with new and breaking topics within paediatric epilepsy.

This course will be clinically based, patient centered and will allow for peer review and discussion, with assurance that you are adhering to safe practices and kept up to date. Please note, it is required all those attending PET4ward must have attended PET123.
