The Board of Directors of the IICN is the governing body of the organisation. Directors are nominated and elected at the Annual General Meeting of IICN members.
The 2026 AGM took place at the Irish Neurological Association 62nd Annual Meeting on May 14th hosted by Prof. Norman Delanty at Clontarf Castle, Dublin. The the new Dean, Dr Ferghal McVerry was welcomed to the post by the outgoing Dean, Dr. John McConville, who delivered the Dean’s Report. He provided a summary of IICN activity through the year and thanked all members who directed meetings and who served on the Board of the IICN throughout the previous year. He welcomed Dr. Maria Gaughan, treasurer, and Dr. Yaseen Yacoob and Dr. Asya Tacheva, Clinical Neuroscience Registrar who joined the Board of Directors for the coming year.
Meetings of the Board of Directors take place at 6 – 8 week intervals.
