Clinical Research Fellow position at the MRC Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases
The Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases in the Department of Neuromuscular Diseases is seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to join the peripheral nerve group led by Professor Mary Reilly. This exciting opportunity will be suitable for a neurologist in training, interested in inherited neuropathies who wants to undertake a PhD.
The project encompasses a natural history study, biomarker development (including MRI) and clinical trials in patients with Charcot Marie Tooth disease (CMT). The successful applicant will enrol and follow up adults in a 3 year natural history study looking at MRI, clinical measures and plasma biomarkers. The post holder will have excellent training opportunities to broaden clinical and research skills and generate publications. The Fellow will also be able to train in all aspects (including molecular genetics) of the inherited neuropathies.
The post is available from September 2020 (the start date is flexible) and is funded by awards from the NIH for 36 months in the first instance.
