60th Annual Irish Neurological Association Meeting, May 2nd – 3rd 2024
“On behalf of the IICN, I’m delighted to announce the 60th annual meeting to be held in the Ormonde Hotel Kilkenny on May 2-3rd 2024. It will be both interesting and fun.
The individual sessions will be chaired by leading people in the area who will start each session with a synopsis on recent developments.
Trainees are encouraged to present at this meeting and there are prizes for individual categories. We are hoping to have a session for trainees focusing on, amongst other things, the transition to Consultant. This year, we have a slight departure from the norm with a mini Presidential symposium on the topic of Artificial Intelligence.
This will be chaired by Prof. Hugh Kearney, St James Hospital and Trinity College Dublin. In this, the Noel Callaghan lecture will delivered by Dr. Guido Giunti (TCD), on the subject of Artificial Intelligence and how this can be incorporated into the neurology patient journey. Dr. Giunti will be followed by two speakers – Prof. Richard Reilly (Trinity College Dublin – Schools of Medicine and Engineering) and Dr Melanie Lang Orisini, Neuropathologist (Beaumont Hospital and CHI), who is recently returned from Harvard. A short panel debate will follow. We are grateful to Colette Fitzpatrick, Executive Manager of the IICN for her work in bringing this meeting to reality. We also wish to thank our sponsors in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Finally I wish to thank all the members of the IICN for their continued support and welcome as many as possible to attend.”
– Professor Francesca Brett
Dr. Guido Giunti, NeuroInsight MSCA Fellow, in the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin will deliver the Noel Callaghan Guest Lecture at the Irish Neurological Association Meeting 2024.
Dr. Giunti joined Trinity College Dublin in 2023 as part of the ambitious NeuroInsight research Programme as a Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellow.
