Applications are invited for the European Board Examination in Neurology
The European Board Examination for Neurology is an initiative jointly organized by the Neurology Section of the UEMS (EBN) and the European Academy of Neurology (EAN). The EAN, together with the EBN, which is part of the Union of European Medical Specialists (UEMS), promotes the highest level of neurological patient care by securing the professional and ethical status of neurological specialists and harmonizing training programs for neurologists in Europe.
Neurologists and registrars who are in the final stages of their training, are invited to take the EBN exam Details of the 17th European Neurology Examination can be found on the UEMS website
Individual candidates who register for the exam are expected to receive a discount on the EAN
Congress fee, regardless of their performance in the exam.
European Board Examination 2025
The 17th European Board Examination in Neurology will be organised ONLINE.
- Oral examination: 9 & 10 May 2025 (Friday/Saturday)
- Written examination: 16 May 2025 (Friday)
The examination consists of a theoretical and a practical part and takes place online; if desired,
the oral examination can also be taken at the venue of the EAN Congress.
The exam is primarily intended for neurologists at the end of their training but could also be used by other participants for self assessment in reflective practice and to inform their own medical training needs.
Those who successfully pass their exams receive a certificate confirming their distinction through
the examination.
