Return to in-person attendance invited for Friday Neuroscience Conference
The Friday Neuroscience Conference in the Carmichael Lecture Theatre at Beaumont Hospital will afford delegates the opportunity to return to attendance at the conference in person. The in-person attendance option, in addition to the online option, will be offered once monthly in the first instance
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference has been presented in an online format. This has been a most successful initiative and has enabled the participation from neuroscience centres throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. In addition, a number of those from the Irish neuroscience diaspora have logged in to the online meeting. This option of continuing to participate in the conference online will continue for delegates outside of the Dublin region, as a hybrid meeting format will be presented.
It is anticipated that consultants and trainees in neuroscience who are based in Dublin hospitals will choose to return to attending in person. This will present addtional benefits, in allowing for further discussion following the meeting in small groups, and in renewing contact and friendships.
The first hybrid conference took place on July 21st and the next such conference is scheduled for September 15th.
It is anticipated that the conference will be presented in a hybrid format on a trial basis, once monthly initially. See the schedule for upcoming Friday Conference dates to the end of the year
