Expressions of Interest sought for Neurology Post Doctoral Clinical Fellowship

The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland have secured agreement in principle from HSE MET to pilot an integrated Post Doctoral Clinical Fellowship programme.

The programme will be open to a SpR in Neurology under the following conditions:

⇒ Entry into HST in Neurology is managed completely separately from the Fellowship awarding process;
⇒ Application to this Fellowship is competitive and is open to newly appointed and existing HST trainees, perhaps only those 1-2 years into their programme;
⇒ Clinical and academic supervision must be completely separate – and integration of same must be managed under the auspices of the ICHMT;
⇒ Requirements of HST in Neurology must be met and the structure of Fellowship must be managed by the ICHMT in keeping with the structure of the National SpR/SR Academic Fellowship Programme (NSAFP).

The Neurology Specialty Training Committee (STC) invite expressions of interest in piloting such a Post Doctoral Clinical Fellowship.
