Prof. Hans Lüders to deliver lecture at Dublin Neuroscience Conference

Professor Hans Lüders, Professor of Neurology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Centre will deliver a lecture at the Dublin Neuroscience Conference at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin on Friday, May 12th at 08.30. The title of Prof. Lüders' lecture will be "The Epileptogenic Zone".

 

 

Hans Lüders is Professor of Neurology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Centre, and previously Chairman of Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic. Prof Lüders trained in Neurology and Neurophysiology at Kyushu University, Japan, and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He developed the Epilepsy Centres and fellowship training programs in Cleveland over many years to become one of the most pre-eminent epilepsy surgery institutions worldwide.

He pioneered the use of subdural grid electrodes in the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy, as well as making defining contributions to seizure classification, concepts in the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy, and cortical mapping of eloquent brain regions. He has authored 18 textbooks including Epilepsy Surgery, and has over 350 publications.
