Dr. Fatima Hamroush to deliver lecture at Dublin Neuroscience Conference


Dr. Fatima Hamroush, FRCS Ed(Ophth), DO, MBBS, Medical Ophthalmologist and Head of the Eye Department in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLH), Drogheda, will deliver a lecture at the Dublin Neuroscience Conference on Friday, August 24th at 08.45. Dr. Hamroush is a member of the ICO and IICN.Medical Ophthalmologist with subspecialty in glaucoma and neuro-Ophthalmology.

Dr. Hamroush is a member of the team of clinicians running the Irish National Diabetic Retinal Screening Program.
Since taking up the post at OLLH in 1999, Dr Hamroush has developed the hospital eye unit into a tertiary centre serving hospital based, Adult and Paediatric, Medical Ophthalmology care in Louth and Meath, as well as teaching medical graduates and post-graduates.

In addition to her medical background and commitment, Dr Fatima Hamroush is a politician and former Minister of Health for Libya 2011-2012.
She also led the Libyan group for National dialogue and reconciliation in 2013-2015.
Prior to her public post as a Health Minister, Dr Hamroush directed medical aid programs, both as the Head of an NGO and via a government program liaising between Irish and Libyan medical care during the conflict in the North African country.
